The Office is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant Senior in the Medicaid Fraud Division of our Town Square Tower office location. Specifically, this position will support attorneys and paralegals as directed by the supervisor. This position requires a Bureau of Criminal Apprehension background check.

This Work Includes But Is Not Limited To

Preparing legal documents and briefs

E-filing

Serving legal documents

Opening and closing files

Retaining records

Occasionally transcribing documents

Making suggestions and/or changes to internal processes

Coordinating Cost Savings Reports and restitution tracking

This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment (combination of in-office work and telework) after successful completion of onboarding and training but will require a minimum of 3 days per week in-office.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of a legal administrative assistant training program or certification, or experience as a legal administrative assistant

Skill in:

Using legal terminology and procedures sufficient to draft documents and correspondence

Word processing sufficient to prepare, edit, finalize legal documents and/or other documents and types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors

Data entry sufficient to receive and review source documents, compare documents to database information, and edit documents





Knowledge of typing/keyboarding sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy, such as transcription

Ability to:

Manage and address customers, clients, coworkers, and opposing counsel concerns tactfully and thoroughly

Oversee, lead, train and evaluate the work activities of employees in their work area

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of:

Legal documents that include but are not limited to legal pleadings, briefs, appellate court notices and motions, memoranda of law, legislation, transcripts, delegation orders, correspondence, search warrants, complaints, memos, charts, service letters and affidavits of service

E-filing procedures in various courts

Transcription experience

Two or more years of experience as a legal administrative assistant

Ability to coordinate with a diverse clientele in a legal setting to include staff attorneys, client agencies, court personnel, and opposing counsel

Physical Requirements

Ability to:

Use a keyboard for extended periods of time which may include repetitive motion

Maintain stationary position for prolonged period of the day
