Position Type: Temporary The typical hourly salary range for this position is $21.50 to $27.50. The hourly salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.

SUMMARY:

Metro is seeking a Product Development (PD) Assistant to support our Corporate Brands Product Development team 2 days per week in food preparation, shopping, and various administrative tasks.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist with food preparation twice a week.
- Preparation and clean-up related to product testing.
- Product shopping related to testing, reviews, etc.
- Record, track, and manage product samples, and other administrative tasks as required.
- Able to lift 30 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in food preparation
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science or Nutrition would be an asset.
- Understanding of safe food handling, Servsafe certificate an asset.
- Highly organized, able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Robust communication skills
- Must have a valid class G driver’s license and access to a car
- Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Excel, Word
