Position Overview The Ministry is seeking a

Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist

to ensure the reliability, performance, accessibility, and security of enterprise IT systems. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on testing strategies, tools, automation, and resource planning while leading comprehensive testing activities across both

GUI and non-GUI environments . The role involves developing and executing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automation scripts, as well as collaborating with project stakeholders throughout the full system development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Testing

Develop and execute comprehensive Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Cases aligned with business and technical requirements.

Perform system testing across enterprise-level IT projects.

Conduct all phases of testing, including:

Functional Testing

Integration Testing

Regression Testing

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Test workflow-driven applications, particularly solutions developed using IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).

Support migration-based testing initiatives.

Validate data mapping and transformation rules.

Perform pre- and post-migration data integrity checks.

Verify business-rule continuity and functional equivalence.

Develop reusable test cases based on object-oriented testing methodologies.

Automation Testing

Plan and develop automated test cases based on business and technical specifications.

Create, execute, and analyze automation scripts using Selenium or equivalent frameworks.

Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Apply automation techniques to improve test coverage, efficiency, and testing effectiveness.

API & Backend Testing

Conduct API testing using REST and SOAP.

Validate:

Request and response formats

Authentication mechanisms

Error handling

API functionality and integration

Perform backend database testing.

Validate PL/SQL jobs, data integrity, and system performance.

Write and execute PL/SQL and SQL queries for test verification and analysis.

Security, Accessibility & Compliance Testing

Conduct security and access-control testing.

Validate:

User permissions

Data protection

Authentication mechanisms

Access controls

Perform AODA testing for WebUI and documents.

Conduct WCAG compliance testing for web applications and documents.

Apply industry standards and best practices for accessibility and security.

Content Management System Testing

Test OpenText Content Management Systems.

Validate:

Metadata accuracy

Document workflows

Version control

Access permissions

Document functionality

Defect Management

Identify, isolate, replicate, trace, and document defects.





Perform root-cause analysis.

Manage defects throughout the complete defect lifecycle.

Log, triage, track, and coordinate defect resolution.

Coordinate with UAT leads and project stakeholders.

Participate in defect review meetings.

Prepare defect summary reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Agile & Stakeholder Collaboration

Work effectively within Agile Scrum and sprint-based development environments.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project teams, UAT leads, and other stakeholders.

Participate in requirements walkthroughs and testing discussions.

Support UAT planning, coordination, and execution.

Clearly communicate technical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience as a Systems Testing/QA Specialist on enterprise-level IT projects.

Strong experience developing Test Strategies, Test Plans, and detailed Test Cases.

Hands-on experience with Agile Scrum and sprint-based development.

Experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools for:

Sprint management

Bug tracking

Test case management

Test reporting

Strong experience with Selenium or equivalent automation frameworks.

Experience across functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.

Extensive experience testing workflow-driven applications, especially IBM BAW.

Strong REST and SOAP API testing experience.

Backend database testing experience, including PL/SQL.

Strong SQL/PL-SQL query-writing skills.

Experience with migration testing and data validation.

Strong defect management and root‑cause analysis capabilities.

Experience with AODA/WCAG testing.

Experience with security and access‑control testing.

Experience testing OpenText Content Management Systems.

Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

5+ years of experience in system testing across enterprise IT projects.

Strong knowledge of Agile testing, SDLC, QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Proficiency in creating and executing Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Cases.

Experience with workflow-based application testing, including IBM BAW.

Experience testing migration projects.

Robust security, access‑control, and backend database testing experience.

Experience with test‑case execution, defect triaging, and defect logging.

Experience documenting UAT artifacts, including test cases, execution results, and findings.

Experience with AODA and WCAG compliance testing for web applications and documents.

Experience testing content management systems such as OpenText.

Automation Testing – 15%

Strong Selenium automation experience.

Ability to create, execute, and analyze automation scripts.

Proficiency with Azure DevOps for test management and reporting.
