Big Glass Openings (BGO) is a Canadian manufacturer of premium aluminum door and window systems engineered using world-renowned Reynaers technology. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Production Technician to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting product development, fabrication excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Technician

- Provide technical support to all BGO team members, including shop and office personnel.
- Create and develop new ReynaPro elements from design through production.
- Modify existing machining programs and create new machining operations in accordance with Reynaers catalog specifications.
- Review new project designs and elements prior to material ordering to minimize errors, waste, and additional costs.
- Develop alternative solutions to address project challenges and design issues.

2. ReynaPro System Development Develop fabrication packages for production, including:

- Assembly instructions
- Manufacturing drawings
- Production documentation

3. Fabrication & Manufacturing Support

- Perform hands-on fabrication using Reynaers products and power tools.
- Build, modify, and repair existing doors, windows, and components to resolve manufacturing and installation issues.
- Support production teams in the fabrication and assembly of custom systems.
- Assist in developing manufacturing improvements that increase efficiency and product quality.

4. Product & Hardware Expertise Possess extensive knowledge of Reynaers systems and hardware, including:

- CP155 - ML8 – MP - CF77 - CP130 - CW50 - CS77 - SL38 - CW Outward Opening Systems - Pivot Doors - Electronic Door and Window Devices

5. Quality Control





- Perform quality control inspections on Reynaers products.
- Ensure products meet company standards, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
- Monitor fabrication processes to maintain consistent product quality.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Experience

- Minimum 4 years of experience in fabrication and technical support within the glass and aluminum industry.
- Proven experience working with Reynaers products and systems.

Technical Skills

Strong working knowledge of

- ReynaPro
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is an asset.

Knowledge & Competencies

- Thorough understanding of the construction process, with experience in doors and window systems preferred with ReynaPro products.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and resolve customer and production issues.
- Excellent organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
