Be an integral part of Campbell River Public Health as a Program Assistant and Hearing Screener. Facilitate health screenings and provide crucial administrative support in your community.
The Program
Assistant is vital in the Preventative and Perinatal Services Program, servicing children through administrative duties and screenings. You report to the Team Leader and are tasked with scheduling appointments, maintaining supply inventories, and performing screening tests. You'll also engage with families at health units, schools, and other sites, contributing to the overall safety and health of the community. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings for children
- Maintain accurate client information and appointment schedules
- Support supply inventory management and operations
- Collaborate with multi-site health professionals
- Implement procedures following healthcare protocols Requirements:
- Grade 12 education plus Medical Office Assistant Certificate
- Two years of relevant administration experience
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
- Knowledge of hearing screening practices
- Competency in Microsoft Office programs Utilize your administrative skills and compassion to enhance health outcomes for children in Campbell River.
