Overview

Arc-Rite Industries is a CWB W47.1-certified welding and fabrication shop serving the Lower Mainland. We run a modern equipment stack, including a 20 kW Durma bevel CNC laser (the only bevel laser table of its kind in the region) and a 350T Durma press brake. We're growing our estimating and project management capacity to keep pace with demand.

Responsibilities

We are looking to add capacity to our laser/forming project management & sales team. In this position you will assist in quoting and programming laser and forming jobs, and tracking their progress from order acceptance to delivery.

While working in this role you will be asked to:

- Prepare estimates and quotes from customer drawings, RFQs, and shop walk-throughs
- Program and nest parts for our 20kW CNC laser table, including bevelled parts and plate up to 2.5” thick
- Coordinate and communicate production times for scheduling purposes across laser cutting, press brake forming, and welding/fabrication stations
- Communicate directly with customers on scope, pricing, and timelines
- Work with the shop floor to resolve programming or fit-up issues as they come up




- Support material planning and vendor coordination for active jobs

Skills

- Experience estimating in a metal fabrication or welding shop environment
- Hands-on CNC laser programming experience (bevel-cutting laser experience and inventory management experience are solid assets)
- Basic AutoCad or Fusion360 knowledge an asset; familiarity with commercial drafting software is a must.
- Familiarity with commercial nesting software (Metalix AutoNest, ProNest, OmniWin, SigmaNest, or similar)
- Ability to preform material take offs from customer's fabrication drawing & BOM
- Strong organizational & multitasking skills. You'll be juggling multiple jobs at different stages at once, with feedback from the shop floor.
- Clear, professional communication with customers and shop staff alike.

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
