Working closely with the Associate Vice President, Purchasing, the Franchise Buyer is responsible for managing key product categories and achieving category objectives.

Provide purchasing recommendations that meet the needs of each franchise banner. Pre-select advertised product styles for the various banners, determine purchasing budgets by category and store, and pre-book quantities for advertised products. Source and purchase promotional items for the various franchise banners.

Manage inventory levels, gross margins, and markdown strategies across warehouse categories. Provide customer service support to franchise stores and suppliers. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sporting goods retail or an equivalent field.

Minimum of 3 years of buying experience, preferably within the sporting goods retail industry. College diploma or university degree in Business Administration or a related field. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook in a Windows environment.
