Position:Purchasing - Parts & Shipping

GSE-R-US: Located by Pearson airport since 1998, GSE-R-US is a recognized name in the aircraft ground support industry, specialize in the sale, refurbishment and servicing of an extensive variety of equipment that services aircrafts, while on the ground.

The Purchaser is responsible for working in collaboration with the operational team with an objective of gaining an understanding of the various equipment parts and services that need to be replaced, modified, refurbished and purchased.

The Purchaser is required to maintain a fulltime attendance schedule.

The Purchaser will conduct market search and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers for best available prices.

The Purchaser records and maintain the Database of purchases The Purchaser maintains the manufacturing shop stocked in and timely manner.

The Purchaser also performs administrative and clerical duties – including but not limited to – documenting purchase orders, entering data to spreadsheets, creating correspondence, answering phone inquiries, filing documents and ordering supplies.

The Purchaser has a highly organized, motivated, and team-oriented personality who is able to operate with detailed information within reasonable deadlines.

The successful candidate will need to have positive relationships with multiple suppliers. This position serves as the key mediating role between suppliers and our company management.

We are specifically looking for a creative thinker who excels in multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments with a focus on bottom-line results and contribution to obtaining cost-reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities Work closely with the operational team to understand what parts need to be purchased

Answer and direct incoming calls, organize mail, file, and general office upkeep

Maintain records of goods ordered and received while keeping orderly and accurate records on purchases

Conduct analysis to assess present and future material availability, ensuring the manufacturing shop is stocked on-time and at the best available prices

Locate domestic and international vendors of materials, equipment or supplies and determine product availability, terms of sales, best prices and negotiate the best deals,



and follow up on purchased orders

Drive to pick-up parts from our suppliers

Coordinate and negotiate for transportation and logistics, including freight for incoming and outgoing equipment.

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels within an organization serving as key mediator between the company and its suppliers

Work well under pressure; be a self-starter and able to prioritize tasks

Have previous experience in internet searching methods

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word & Excel

Have a clean driver’s abstract and a valid G-class license

Hourly wages begin at $17 per hour; Increases of up to $22 per hour for a high performing employee that has accumulated considerable experience with us.
