Iris's client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a Python Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity. Our client is a Canadian multinational financial services company and the largest bank in Canada by market capitalization. The bank serves over 17 million clients and has more than 89,000 employees worldwide.

Bank is serving individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services.

Position: Python Engineer Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid Role –4 Days in Office/week) Duration: Long Term Contract (12+ Months) Strong hands-on Python development experience, particularly backend applications and microservices. Strong experience using AI/GenAI coding tools to support software development, troubleshooting, testing, and productivity. Good development experience with Unix/Linux and Shell/Bash scripting.

Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases. Good understanding of the complete SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Good experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.





Exposure to TLS, SSL, firewalls, and application/network security concepts. Exposure to tools such as Confluence, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.
