Support social inclusion as a Community Program Facilitator with Autism Nova Scotia, working directly with autistic individuals and their families. Evening and weekend flexibility is required.
This Part Time position involves collaborating with the South West Chapter to create impactful social and recreational activities. You will assess, plan, and facilitate events while ensuring the health and safety of all participants. Volunteer management and effective communication are key to promoting successful outcomes in your programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement programs tailored for autistic individuals
• Recruit and support volunteers for program initiatives
• Ensure the safety and well-being of program participants
• Facilitate effective communication among families and staff
• Organize special events and fundraising activities
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Valid criminal record check and child abuse registry
• Experience working with autistic individuals preferred
• Knowledge in community programming and facilitation skills
• A reliable vehicle with a valid Driver’s License required
