The Region of Waterloo is hiring a Regional Roads Maintainer. This full-time role is focused on maintaining roads and snow control operations in the area. In this position, you will manage various roadside tasks, operate heavy vehicles and perform machinery checks. You’ll ensure road safety and maintenance throughout multiple operational sites while adhering to regional standards and procedures. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance checks
- Operate vehicles for transporting materials to work sites
- Remove snow and ice effectively throughout winter
- Manage grass and debris removal using specialized equipment
- Assist with installation of snow fences and culverts

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years in a related maintenance role
- Valid class D driver's licence with Z endorsement
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond quickly to emergencies
- Proficient understanding of road maintenance practices
- Solid communication skills for interacting with team and public
