The Opportunity: BetterMe Psychological Services is a welcome practice established in Southeast Calgary. We provide mental health services to a wide range of individuals with different concerns. We are currently seeking a Registered Psychologist to join our team of contractions of our growing practice. We provide services with a mix of virtual sessions and in person sessions, which take place in a spacious and beautifully furnished office space.

We are seeking Registered Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists, and Registered Social Workers who are building or maintaining a caseload and want the autonomy of private practice without the administrative weight of managing every part of a business alone.

The ideal candidate has a client-centered approach, is culturally informed and works using a trauma lens. A second language is considered an asset, as lots of our clients are from a diverse background and would benefit from communicating using their native language. Knowledge and experience treating chronic pain would be greatly welcomed.

Candidate Qualifications / Must have Requirements.

- Registration and good standing with the Alberta College of Psychologists or Alberta College of Social Workers.
- Highly skilled with technology and online video conferencing.
- Exceptional time management and communication skills.
- High ethical and professional standards.
- An understanding of working with third party payers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, organization skills, and good work ethic.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Passionate about the field of psychology with ambitious career goals.
- Ability to foster strong therapeutic relationships.

Candidate Qualifications / Considered an Asset.

- Experience working with a wide variety of presenting problems.
- Candidate would have assessment qualifications, but this is not mandatory.
- Minimal 1-3 years of experience in private practice preferred.
- Previous clinical experience with chronic pain and rehabilitation.
- Ability to conduct psychological assessments and evaluations.

Responsibilities

- Provide psychological and therapeutic services to a range of clientele.
- Prepare documentation, correspondence and reports related to your Clients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
