Provide Customers with a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience
Create an inviting shopping environment by meeting Customer project needs quickly and fully
Work with the Store Manager to develop strategies and objectives to drive sales and profitability
Provide leadership to Associates to execute store strategies and objectives
Analyze trends, solve problems, and develop Associates to maximize store success
Ensure Customers are acknowledged, project needs are met, complaints are resolved, service is quick and efficient, and the store is properly stocked
Schedule sufficiently to meet customer demand
Train Associates to provide quality customer service
Schedule and communicate store events
Ensure Special Order/Install Customers are satisfied
Recruit and place Sales Associates and specialty-area staff
Set departmental sales goals and monitor them
Recruit, interview, and recommend applicants for hiring
Recommend terminations, promotions, demotions, pay rates, and performance-based increases to the Store Manager
Drive sales-floor productivity
Communicate store and Home Depot objectives to Associates
Coach, train, develop, and provide performance-based feedback to Associates
Communicate career paths and minimize turnover
Lead the Chalk Talk process to communicate sales, events, and promotions
Assess training needs and implement improvement plans
Communicate Home Depot programs and services to customers and Associates
Train Associates on sales and inventory reports and KPIs
Analyze reports, identify trends, define problems, and develop responses
Develop Customer Service standards




Lead Associates and collaborate with peers and the Store Manager to solve problems and plan for events and seasonal changes
Complete daily inspections and follow up on safety audits, accidents, and investigations
Execute safety awareness programs
Verify deposits, markdowns, deliveries, time slips, refunds, and related items
Follow procedures to open and close the store
Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Perform other related duties assigned by the Store Manager

Requirements
Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (V2 - Valued Associate, Well Positioned)
Minimum 2 years of management experience
Excellent customer service skills
Good communication skills
Computer experience is a must
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong problem solving skills
Team player
Strong work ethic, sense of responsibility and attention to detail and confidentiality
