This full time Physiotherapist role focuses on culturally sensitive care within diverse Indigenous communities. You'll provide rehabilitation for musculoskeletal and chronic conditions while engaging actively with clients to encourage independence through exercise and education. The position emphasizes collaboration with traditional healers, empowering individuals through movement and personalized care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop tailored physiotherapy plans for individual needs
• Deliver interventions like therapeutic exercise and pain management
• Collaborate with community wellness teams and traditional healers
• Participate in community health promotion and outreach
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Requirements:
• Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited school
• Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Experience with community-based health care preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid driver's license for travel requirements
