Lynx is seeking a dedicated Peer Specialist for its Early Psychosis Intervention program. This full-time position emphasizes peer support, skill development, and community involvement.
The ideal candidate will leverage their personal recovery journey to help support others within the mental health system. As a Peer Specialist, you will focus on coaching clients through personalized interventions while participating in education and community outreach initiatives, thereby fostering a supportive recovery setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct psychosocial support to clients
• Facilitate education and independent living programs
• Assist with client empowerment and recovery choices
• Organize workshops and public education events
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions
Requirements:
• Preferred degree in social or health sciences
• Two years of recovery experience plus one year in a similar role
• Active driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
• Excellent communication skills with clients and families
• Relevant certifications in mental health training
