Join CMHA Kelowna as a part-time Youth Supportive Housing Worker, providing critical support to at-risk youth. Work weekends to help individuals prevent homelessness and build stability.
This position in the Bright Mindz Program emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to assist young people in improving their quality of life and achieving housing stability. Responsibilities include developing supportive plans, connecting clients to necessary resources, and implementing crucial life skills training. You'll play a key role in crisis intervention while ensuring a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain cooperative relationships with community service professionals
• Create personalized support plans for youth
• Train clients in essential life skills for daily living
• Liaise with agencies to secure income supports
• Manage case files and maintain client documentation
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Criminal Records Check required
• Experience in social services or related field advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with health service systems beneficial
