Position Summary

Precision Garage Door Service Of Edmonton is currently looking for an experienced Residential Door Technician. The position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of overhead door service including service, repair and installation work on residential doors.

The Residential Door Technician ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the company’s quality standards. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, communication, troubleshooting skills to effectively communicate and service customers and work with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 Years experience servicing/installing residential overhead doors
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lb using safe handling practices
- Comfort with ladders, bending, kneeling, stairs and active field work
- Solid communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract.

The following experience / credentials are considered assets:

- IDEA Certification
- CDI Certification
- Experience with Electrical
- Experience with Welding
- Experience working on Docks
- Experience hauling trailers

Key Responsibilities

Working Conditions

- Based primarily out of our Edmonton office, with regular visits to customers and job sites to service, repair and install overhead doors.
- Standard workweek Monday–Friday, with rotating on call schedule for occasional after hours work to meet deadlines or site schedules or assisting technicians.
- Combination of office and field work, with frequent communication with customers, vendors,



and installation teams.
- Must adhere to all company and site-specific safety procedures.

Operations & Customer Service

- Maintain high service quality and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and franchise standards
- Prepared and delivered professional cost estimates to residential clients, factoring in labor, materials, timelines, and scope of work.
- Coordinate procurement of doors, operators, hardware
- Address issues promptly and diplomatically to maintain trust, satisfaction, and repeat business.
- Provide proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle, including schedule updates, scope adjustments, and completion confirmations.

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week

Experience:
