Join Prairie Valley School Division as a Continuing Learning Facilitator, focusing on Indigenous Advocacy. This pivotal role enhances educational leadership while promoting Indigenous ways of knowing and supporting student success.
As a 1.0 Continuing Learning Facilitator, you will collaborate with teachers and administrators to implement Truth and Reconciliation initiatives and educational strategies. Your expertise in Indigenous education will help improve opportunities for Indigenous learners while ensuring alignment with provincial educational policies and goals. You'll lead teacher capacity-building efforts and serve as a vital link between the school division and First Nations communities to enrich educational practices and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Truth and Reconciliation initiatives across the division
• Support teachers in integrating Indigenous world views
• Build capacity for culturally relevant instructional strategies
• Collaborate on career development related to Indigenous instruction
• Analyze data to recommend targeted interventions
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Education Degree
• Valid Saskatchewan Professional A teacher certificate
• Master’s Degree in a related field
• Minimum five years of teaching experience
