Take on a crucial role as a Pathologist Assistant in the Pathology Department at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. This part time opportunity involves essential duties related to specimen examination and processing.

In this position, you will perform gross examinations, assist in post-mortem analysis, and ensure proper handling and storage of tissue specimens. Teaching new staff and engaging with medical residents form a critical part of this role, emphasizing your effective communication skills. You will also contribute to the maintenance of procedure manuals and quality management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct gross examination of all tissue types
• Assist in and setup post-mortem examinations
• Engage in specimen photography for documentation




• Participate in educational presentations and training
• Ensure compliance with laboratory policies

Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Pathologist Assistance or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in pathology setting
• Certification from recognized pathology council desired
• Strong organizational and interpersonal capabilities
• Commitment to continuous education and quality standards
