FORT MCMURRAY CATHOLIC SCHOOLS is accepting applications for full-time evening shift cleaner at Elsie Yanik S chool .

Job Overview: Reporting to the Coordinator of Custodial Services, the Cleaner performs cleaning and general maintenance of school interior/exterior, in accordance with established standards; performs daily routine security and safety checks; and performs other duties as assigned – details as per job description.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General cleaning of assigned building

Clean cafeteria, lunch room, storage areas, utility service areas, furnace rooms and boiler rooms

Clean lighting fixtures and replace light bulbs





Collect and dispose of garbage/litter within building interior and exterior

Perform minor maintenance not requiring a skilled tradesperson

Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

One year related work experience

Ability to work independently

Positive interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Reference Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check. FMCSD will contact past and present employers for references. All FMCSD employees are expected to be computer literate; this includes fluency with e-mail, Internet and MS Office.
