Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.
What will you do? Act as SME for Surveillance Technology systems and processes. Providing leadership to team and acting as key partner to the Surveillance business
Elicit functional and system requirements for Trade Compliance projects for Capital Markets and Wealth Management
Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of details and accuracy of estimates
Analyze and document detailed business and system solution requirements using Agile methodology
Define practical user experiences, including storytelling, personas, process flows and interactions
Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise standards
Contribute to successful project completion within budget and on time by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
Work with the ETL team, developers,
Vendor consultants and numerous data sources to gather data requirements and mapping specifications.
What do you need to succeed? Must have: In depth knowledge of Trade Surveillance domain and applications
5+ years of experience with business systems analysis and software development.
Experience defining and documenting complex functional business logic
Expertise in data mapping and creating data mapping specifications.
Expertise in gathering, analyzing and documenting business rules for processing data.
Expertise in test planning, test case preparation and testing of applications and data mapping.
Nice to-have: Advanced knowledge of North American and international securities trading and data related to complete trade life cycle.
Knowledge of capital markets and Wealth Management
Knowledge of global securities industry and products (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives)
Knowledge of financial industry and functions.
