Become a vital part of the ACEH community in Saanich, BC as an Indigenous Youth Support Worker. Empower youth through mentorship and culturally relevant care practices.
In the newly established Culturally Supportive Care Home, you'll play a key role in fostering well-being for Indigenous youth ages 12-19. This position includes vital support areas like cooking, mentoring, and property upkeep to create a secure and welcoming atmosphere for youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain the youth's safety in the home
• Oversee adherence to curfew and visitation rules
• Guide youth in achieving their care plan goals
• Offer transportation for various community activities
• Organize social events to foster interaction
Requirements:
• Required post-secondary education in related fields
• Valid certifications in First Aid and CPR
• Completion of Naloxone Training
• Foodsafe certification (Level 1)
• Experience with non-profit and Indigenous support services is beneficial
