Ignite student learning at the York Region District School Board as a Long Term Occasional Grade 6 Teacher for English and Math. This position may extend into October, adding to your teaching experience.

As an LTO teacher, you will be responsible for engaging Grade 6 students in both English and Math subjects. Candidates must possess or be in the process of obtaining Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualifications. You’ll play a vital role in supporting student success while adhering to inclusive educational practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging English and Math lessons to students
• Monitor and assess student progress continuously
• Develop inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse learners

Requirements:
• OCT qualifications required or in progress
• Previous teaching experience with Grade 6 students
• Proven ability to foster an inclusive learning setting
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Must clear a satisfactory police record check
