Cartwright Lighting & Furniture has been part of Calgary's design community for nearly 30 years, helping homeowners and builders find lighting, furniture, and decor that fits their space, and now we're looking for our next Sales Associate to join the team.
This role is a chance to build your sales skills, learn our product lines inside and out, and build a career. No experience in lighting or retail is needed. What matters is a hard work, discipline, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for working with customers. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the showroom.
- Ask questions to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
- Provide accurate information on products, pricing, and availability.
- Guide customers through the purchase process, including orders and payment.
- Follow up with customers as needed to ensure satisfaction.
- Build long-term relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals.
Showroom & Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom.
- Assist with restocking and merchandising displays.
- Work collaboratively with team members to cover the sales floor throughout the day.
- Support customer pickups by coordinating with warehouse staff.
- Help maintain accurate customer and order information in company systems.
Team Collaboration
- Work well within a team environment while also being comfortable working unsupervised.
- Communicate clearly with coworkers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Support other departments as needed during busy periods.
Decision-Making & Autonomy
- Exercise good judgment when helping customers make purchasing decisions.
- Handle routine customer questions independently.
- Escalate more complex concerns to the Sales Manager or leadership as needed.

Preferred Experience
- 1 year of sales experience.
- 1 year of customer service experience.
