As an Outdoor Play Specialist for a 16-month term, you will lead the development of outdoor play strategies in YMCA Child Care programs. Collaborating with educators and community partners, you'll coach professionals, implement best practices, and facilitate workshops that enrich children's outdoor interactions. Your work will establish essential standards for outdoor pedagogy, ensuring that children thrive in their learning journeys.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support development of outdoor play tools and resources
• Mentor Child Care educators on best practices




• Conduct community programming for outdoor play
y• Oversee implementation of the Free to Play initiative
• Evaluate outdoor environments for child engagement

Requirements:
• Degree in Education, Child Care, or a related field
• Five years of experience with children and families
• Proficient in outdoor pedagogy and nature-based learning
• Excellent facilitation and coaching skills
• Valid Alberta Child Care Certification preferred
