Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is looking for an experienced Dual Rate Security Guard / Supervisor to join our Security team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced casino security professional who enjoys being part of the front-line team but also wants the opportunity to step into a leadership role when needed.

As a Dual Rate Security Guard / Supervisor, you will work primarily as a Security Guard while providing relief coverage as a Security Supervisor. When you are in the Supervisor role, you will lead the shift, support the Security team, manage escalated situations, and work closely with management, AGLC, and law enforcement.

What You’ll Do

As a Security Guard

You will help create a secure, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, employees, and racing participants.

Your responsibilities will include

- Patrolling the casino and racetrack and maintaining a strong security presence.
- Protecting guests, employees, company property, and assets.
- Monitoring and escorting cash and chip transfers in accordance with AGLC and company requirements.
- Responding to medical, safety, security, and emergency situations.
- Investigating incidents, gathering information and evidence, and completing detailed reports.
- Monitoring alarms, access points, and other security systems as required.
- Enforcing company policies and procedures in a professional and respectful manner.
- Working with AGLC inspectors, law enforcement, emergency services, and other external agencies when required.
- Providing professional and courteous service to guests and employees.
- Maintaining effective communication with the Security team using radios and other communication systems.
- Supporting your fellow Security team members and contributing to a respectful, team-focused workplace.

When Assigned as Security Supervisor When providing relief coverage,



you will take the lead on the shift and be responsible for keeping the Security operation running smoothly.

You will

- Lead and provide direction to Security Guards throughout the shift.
- Assign posts, duties, and breaks to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Monitor staffing levels and respond to operational needs.
- Review and follow up on security incidents and ensure reports are complete and accurate.
- Respond to escalated guest, employee, and security concerns.
- Take charge during significant incidents and emergencies.
- Liaise with AGLC inspectors, law enforcement, emergency services, and other regulators as required.
- Ensure Security staff follow company policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Coach, support, and mentor Security Guards, including new team members.
- Communicate important information and shift updates to the Security Manager.
- Provide clear, fair, and skilled leadership while maintaining a positive team environment.

What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who already understands the casino security environment and is ready to bring their experience and leadership skills to Century Mile.

Required Experience

- Minimum 1 years of experience as a Security Supervisor.
- Previous casino security experience is required.
- Experience working in a busy, customer-facing security environment.
- Strong understanding of security procedures, incident response, and documentation.

Education & Certifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- AGLC Security License – required prior to hire.
- ProServe Certification – required prior to hire.
- Protect Certification – required prior to hire.
- Deal Us In Phase 1 & 2 – required prior to hire.
- Standard First Aid Level C with AED – required prior to hire.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Schedule This is a full-time position working:

- 12-hour shifts
- Days and nights
- Weekends and holidays as required
- Supervisor duties assigned on a relief basis
