Job Posting: Security Guard, Saint John, NB

Commissionaires NB&PEI; Division is looking to hire responsible team members for Security Guard roles in Saint John, NB. Part-time and Full-time hours available.

Hours: 8 to 12 hour rotating shifts, 24/7, with day, evening, night and weekend availability

Rate of Pay: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour

Advantages: Health, Vision, and Dental Benefits, Life Insurance and AD&D; plans The Role: The Security Guard will be responsible to enforce established rules and regulations to ensure the protection of people, property, and information. Assigned duties include a combination of static and roving patrols.

Requirements:

- Physically fit to perform interior and exterior rounds (including stairs) - stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time and to respond to emergency situations, may include walking up to 12km per shift
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive, proactive, problem-solving approach to tasks
- Customer service experience




- Comfortable learning and using new technology
- Ability to obtain Security Clearances
- Valid class 5 Driver’s License
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace

The successful candidate must be able to:

- Maintain high levels of confidentiality
- Demonstrate sound judgement in addressing conflict situations
- Respond to emergency situations and help others
