As the Senior Accountant, you will play an important role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization and supporting informed business decisions. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will be a key member of the Finance team and will help ensure the organization has accurate, timely and reliable financial information. You will also have the prospect to provide guidance and mentorship to a Junior Accountant, helping to build the capabilities of the broader Finance team while continuing to grow your own skills and experience.

Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies. Manage prepaid schedules, fixed asset schedules and assets under construction general ledgers. Collaborate with the Finance team and others within the organization to resolve accounting issues (A/P & A&R; escalations), and support sound business decisions.

Coordinate with external auditors throughout interim and year-end audit processes and provide requested documentation and information. Provide guidance, support and mentorship to junior accounting staff, helping them develop their technical skills and confidence. Bring a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to the Finance team and actively contribute to a fast-paced, evolving environment.





CPA designation or actively working towards your CPA.

Advanced Microsoft

Excel skills with commonly used accounting functions. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to both Finance and non-Finance colleagues. Calgary-based role with a hybrid work model, including three days onsite per week with flexibility.
