The STORY Group is partnering with an established industrial automation client to recruit a Senior Controls Engineer to join their growing controls engineering team.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced controls professional who enjoys taking custom factory automation projects from design and programming through commissioning and start-up.

What you’ll be doing: Design, program and commission custom automation systems

PLC & HMI programming

Robotics programming and integration

Troubleshooting, start-up and debug

Collaborating with mechanical engineering, manufacturing and project management teams

Supporting projects throughout the full automation lifecycle

What we’re looking for: 5+ years of custom/factory automation experience, including hands‑on controls design and programming. Robust experience with PLC, HMI, robotics and AutoCAD is required.

Experience with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, Nachi, Cognex or Keyence would be an asset.
