- Develop and implement positioning strategies to raise Mila’s profile among general-interest and specialized media worldwide
- Identify speaking opportunities to position Mila as an ethical and technological authority in public discourse
- Draft key messages, speeches, and briefing documents for spokespersons, including the Chief Scientific Officer
- Lead the production and distribution of press releases and manage relationships with journalists, influencers, and opinion leaders
- Ensure message consistency among internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct rigorous media monitoring and analyze public sentiment
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team to strengthen relationships with industry and academic stakeholders
- Train researchers and students in communications and media relations practices
- Support internal teams in their public engagements and prepare for major events

Requirements

- 8+ years of experience in media relations, public affairs, or influence communications, ideally in an international or technology-focused environment
- Established relationships with Quebec, Canadian, and international media outlets (a major asset)
- Exceptional writing skills, combining journalistic rigor with persuasive impact




- Full professional fluency in French and English, both spoken and written
- Ability to navigate complex environments and manage reputation-related issues with composure and sound judgment
