Drive impactful AI policies as a Senior Policy Analyst focused on First Nations at the Assembly of First Nations. This role entails research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic policy recommendations. Reporting to the Director of Languages and Learning, the successful candidate will analyze AI’s implications for First Nations communities.

You will work on policy development and resolutions, ensuring alignment with community priorities. Flexibility for travel and working varied hours is essential in this agile position. Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze complex statistical data related to AI and First Nations
- Develop recommendations for effective AI governance policies
- Facilitate preparation of policy documentation for AFN initiatives




- Attend Chiefs-in-Assembly meetings and document discussions
- Collaborate on various cross-sector committees and initiatives

Requirements:

- Relevant degree with 5-7 years of pertinent policy experience
- Advanced understanding of AI issues impacting Indigenous communities
- Proven ability to communicate complex data to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple government levels
- Fluency in English and an additional language preferred
