Senior Project Manager (Level 3)

Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager (Level 3) to support a Federal Government client on a 2-year contract .

⚠️ An active Government of Canada SECRET clearance is mandatory.

This role will support a federal initiative focused on Sustainment Business Case Analysis (SBCA) and sustainment planning activities for major modernization and capital equipment programs. The successful candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams to support project governance, planning, stakeholder engagement, analysis, and decision-support activities.

Project Background

This initiative supports the development of Sustainment Business Case Analyses used to inform:

- Long-term sustainment strategies
- Business case development
- Lifecycle costing
- Procurement and contracting approaches
- Risk and affordability assessments
- Executive-level decision making

Work Location & Conditions The Contractor's resource will:

- Work primarily on-site at Federal Government facilities within the NCR
- Be required to work on-site up to five (5) days per week
- Work in a secure environment supporting classified programs
- Be eligible to work within a Controlled Goods workplace

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate project activities, schedules, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain project work plans and governance documentation
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and reporting activities
- Monitor project progress and communicate status to senior leadership
- Prepare executive briefings,



decision-support materials, and presentations
- Support sustainment planning and business case analysis activities
- Coordinate activities between project teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies

Mandatory Requirements MT.1 – Sustainment Planning / Business Case Analysis Experience

Must demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of experience within the last 10 years managing:

- Sustainment Planning projects; and/or
- Business Case Analysis (BCA) projects

MT.2 – Project Management Experience Must demonstrate experience managing at least two (2) Sustainment Planning or Business Case Analysis projects , each lasting a minimum of six (6) months .

MT.3 – Executive Presentation Experience

Must demonstrate experience presenting Sustainment Planning findings and recommendations to:

- Senior management
- Directors
- Executive decision-makers
- Governance committees

Education & Experience Requirements

- University degree (undergraduate, graduate, or PhD) OR
- College / CEGEP diploma or certificate
- Relevant project management certification is considered an asset

Security Requirements

- Active Government of Canada SECRET Clearance
- Ability to work on-site within secure Government facilities
- Eligibility to work in a Controlled Goods environment
