Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Security Platform Consultant for a 6-month contract position having Government of Canada Secret Level II clearance specializing in Elastic Stack and Splunk to join our dynamic cybersecurity team.

Expectations:

- Must be based in Canada
- Must already possess a valid Government of Canada Secret Level II clearance
- Senior-level experience with Splunk or Elastic ideally
- Strong understanding of SIEM and security operations concepts
- Experience with log/data ingestion, parsing, normalization, and integration
- Experience developing security use cases, searches/queries, dashboards, and alerts
- Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise SIEM environments

Duration: 6 months Work model: During customer business hours

Project Description

Our Customer is looking for a Canada-based Security Platform Consultant to support a six-month engagement as part of the development and evolution of its Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) offering and Security Center of Excellence.

The consultant will work as an extension of the customer’s technical team, supporting the implementation, configuration, operation, and evolution of a multi-tenant security analytics/SIEM platform.



The environment is primarily based on Elastic Security, with responsibilities covering platform configuration, data and use-case onboarding, security integrations, troubleshooting, dashboards, upgrades, and knowledge transfer.

The consultant will also support the onboarding of new environments and security use cases, coordinate with internal technical teams and stakeholders, and act as a technical escalation point when required.

This is a staff augmentation engagement, and priorities will evolve throughout the mandate based on the customer’s operational and project requirements.

A candidate who does not have Elastic experience can be trained and even certified on the Elastic platform. Must have a skill set, experience, and capabilities to learn such technology and apply their skills in an enterprise technology setting.

Pay: $100.00-$120.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Experience

- Splunk: 3 years (required)
- Elastic: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Government of Canada Secret Level II clearance (required)
