Care Pharmacies is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process and building relationships with universities, career centers, and other key external partners. As a one-person team, this role will operate independently, with no direct reports, and will be the sole individual responsible for talent acquisition activities across the company. You will be a key player in enhancing our employer brand and attracting top-tier candidates for a variety of roles.
In addition to recruitment duties, you will represent Care Pharmacies at career fairs, trade shows, and industry events, positioning the company as an employer of choice. You will also take on the role of brand ambassador, actively pursuing certifications and awards to enhance Care Pharmacies’ image and reputation in the marketplace.
You will also help curate the People and Culture programs that make Care Pharmacies an employer of choice in the Pharmacy industry in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruitment:
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from job posting to candidate offer, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
- Source and attract top talent through job boards, social media platforms, networking events, and outreach efforts.
- Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and assessments to ensure alignment with company values and job requirements.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job specifications for various roles across the company.
University & Career Center Relations:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local universities, colleges, and career centers to attract new graduates and co-op students for internships and entry-level roles.
- Organize and participate in career fairs, on-campus recruiting events, and networking sessions to promote Care Pharmacies as an employer of choice.
- Partner with academic institutions to create pipelines for talent development and internship programs.
International Pharmacy Graduate Program
- Develop and maintain relationships with international organizations
- Liaise with external Legal consultants to build an immigration program and support candidates in transition
- Promote the immigration program in Canada and with organizations abroad.
Brand Ambassador & External Representation:
- Represent Care Pharmacies at career fairs, trade shows, and other professional events, effectively communicating the company’s mission, values, and culture to prospective candidates.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for the company, promoting Care Pharmacies as an exceptional place to work and fostering a positive public image.
- Actively pursue industry certifications, awards, and recognitions to enhance Care Pharmacies’ employer branding efforts.
Marketing & Candidate Attraction:
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create and distribute engaging recruitment materials that promote Care Pharmacies’ employer brand.
- Share success stories, employee testimonials, and company achievements on social media and recruitment platforms to attract top-tier candidates.
- Leverage data and analytics to measure the success of recruitment campaigns and continuously improve strategies to enhance talent attraction efforts.
- Build cultural and social programs that drive retention
Independent Role Management:
- As the sole Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will manage all aspects of recruitment and branding independently, with no direct reports. You will be responsible for your own workload, time management, and execution of recruitment initiatives.
- Maintain a high level of autonomy while ensuring recruitment goals and deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- Report directly to leadership on recruitment progress, strategies, and initiatives, maintaining open lines of communication on key hiring objectives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current on recruitment trends, best practices, and talent acquisition technologies to keep Care Pharmacies competitive in the recruitment market.
- Actively contribute to initiatives that drive a diverse and inclusive workplace and ensure equal opportunity for all candidates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including schools, career centers, and professional organizations.
- Experience in attending and representing a company at career fairs, trade shows, and recruiting events.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with all levels of candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Energetic, tenacious, and results-driven, with a passion for attracting top talent and promoting company culture.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision and the drive to meet recruitment goals.
- Knowledge of recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and social media platforms.
- Strong understanding of employer branding, talent acquisition strategies, and industry best practices.
