Job Summary

We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Server/Takeout person to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant setting. Sukhothai is a staple in Toronto Thai cuisine and we're looking to expand our team in the Canary district.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for the food industry. This role involves providing exceptional dining experiences by serving food and beverages, handling transactions efficiently, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide them with menus, taking their orders accurately.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Prepare drinks and be a responsible bartender
- Operate the POS system to process customer orders and payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Assist in upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
- Monitor dining areas for guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.




- Prepare and handle takeout orders while assisting guests and delivery drivers with their orders.
- Able to prepare and handle takeout/catering orders, from taking orders to packing them for delivery.

Requirements

- Smart Serve Certificate
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Understanding of sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
