We are seeking applications for Service Crew members. Reporting to the Underground Supervisor.

Duties

- Attend mining Pre-Shift Meetings each shift
- Conduct operator pre-start checks on all mobile plant operated during shift and LV’s
- Clean and maintain cleanliness of underground vehicles (Internally and Externally) to Byrnecut policy
- Transport workers to machines as required
- Conduct wash down and scaling of nominated underground areas as required:-
- Watering down of rock area following blasting or as required
- Scaling down of loose rocks using scaling bars
- Operation of IT to transport various items from laydown yard/s to underground areas to carry out designated duties
- Install, maintain and repair all underground services e.g.: air/water/pump lines, ventilation bags, temporary electrical cables (extension cables),



submersible pumps in sumps, Mono pumps and clean / maintain explosive areas
- Installing and removing communication equipment / knocker line as per site policies
- Assist with construction of ventilation walls
- Install grout, plate and tension of cable bolts
- Safely use hand tools to undertake certain tasks
- Assist with stope preparation prior to charging and firing
- Identify hazards and rectify as required or report to supervisors
- Assist drill operators and charge up crews as required
- Deliver items to operators as needed such as ground support items and oils
- Maintain a clean and tidy laydown area
- Train new personnel in the operation of IT’s and light vehicles and all aspects of service crew to Byrnecut standards
- Maintain and comply with fitness for work requirements
- Arriving at work adequately rested.
- Initiate and participate in equipment and job status handovers with Underground Mine Supervisors and cross shift operators

Qualifications

- Must have a minimum 5 years underground mining experience
- Willingness to work rotating 12 hour shifts (Day/Night Shift)
- Previous experience working in an underground mine
- Excellent manual handling techniques and an ability to lift objects weighing 20kg or more
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Have a good understanding of general OHS
