Forge Consulting Group is representing a leading advanced automation and manufacturing solutions provider that designs and delivers innovative automation, robotics, machine vision, and production systems for modern manufacturing environments.

We are looking for a Controls Programmer to join their exciting and growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on controls skilled to work on custom automation projects from programming and integration through machine startup and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs

Program using Rockwell, Schneider, and Siemens platforms

Develop ladder logic and machine control systems

Support machine startup, debugging, and commissioning

Work with electrical and pneumatic systems

Integrate robotics, machine vision, and automation systems





Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings

Prepare technical documentation

Support multiple automation projects and priorities

Qualifications

3+ years of controls/automation experience

Two-year technical diploma or four-year degree in a related field

Experience with:

FactoryTalk View Studio

Strong PLC and HMI programming skills

Experience with machine startup and debugging

Ability to read electrical and pneumatic drawings

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability and willingness to travel as required

Robotics experience is an asset

Previous automation industry experience is preferred
