A leading manufacturer in the electrical systems industry is seeking an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer in the greater Toronto area.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead EMC/EMI compliance activities , including design reviews, requirements, control plans, specifications, test plans, and compliance documentation.
Conduct and oversee EMC testing in laboratory and field environments; review test results and develop corrective solutions for EMC-related issues.
Apply and enforce EMC design standards and guidelines across products and subsystems, while developing improved processes, tools, and engineering practices.
Collaborate across engineering, design, signaling, and testing teams to identify and resolve EMC challenges.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering , ideally with an EMI/EMC specialization; P.Eng. certification or progress toward certification preferred.
5+ years of EMI/EMC engineering experience in railway, automotive, aerospace, defense, or similar industries; experience with high-voltage traction/power environments is highly desirable.
