Robert Half Canada is recruiting on behalf of an organization seeking a Senior Accountant /Assistant Manager to support financial reporting, accounting operations, and process improvement initiatives.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced accounting professional who can contribute both strategically and operationally within a cooperative finance environment.

The successful candidate will bring a robust foundation in accounting and financial analysis, along with the ability to support reporting accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across finance processes.

Depending on experience, this role may be positioned at the Senior Accountant, Assistant Manager, or Manager level.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and working papers to support accurate financial reporting.

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.





Support the preparation of financial statements, internal reports, and supporting analysis.

Monitor general ledger activity and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.

Support internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit-related processes.

Assist with tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting requirements, as applicable.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting workflows, and internal procedures.

Partner with internal stakeholders across finance and other business functions to support operational and reporting needs.

Provide guidance or mentorship to junior team members, where appropriate.
