Play a key role in building operations at the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE). The Building Operations Supervisor will focus on maintenance oversight and custodial staff management.

As the Building Operations Supervisor, you will oversee safety systems and coordinate maintenance efforts across a group of schools. Your responsibilities will also include supervising a custodial team, planning emergency drills, and conducting inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Effective communication with school staff and the maintenance team will be essential to your role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise custodial staff and manage performance evaluations
• Plan and coordinate routine maintenance inspections
• Organize and lead fire drills and emergency preparedness




• Act as the liaison with HRCE maintenance and external providers
• Develop and implement quality assurance practices

Requirements:
• Five years minimum experience in facility operations and maintenance
• Three years supervising a significant number of staff
• Technical certification in building maintenance discipline
• Experience working within a unionized framework
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
