As a Youth Worker at Covenant House Vancouver, you will play a crucial role in supporting youth aged 16-24 who face challenges related to homelessness and trauma. This position focuses on providing protected housing, life skills, and education support through a caring, relational model of care. Your efforts will contribute to fostering a safe and supportive community for the youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome and orient new youth accessing services
• Foster relationships with at-risk youth residents
• Guide youth in personal goal setting and achieve success
• Provide immediate support during crises and emergencies
• Manage documentation for youth case files
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma relevant to social services preferred
• At least two years of relevant work experience
• First Aid & Non-Violent Crisis Intervention knowledge an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Must be comfortable with physical aspects of the role
