Support the Métis National Council as a Policy Advisor, specializing in legislative affairs and stakeholder relationships. This full time role can be remote or hybrid, focusing on strategic policy development.
As a Policy Advisor in Legislative Affairs, you will collaborate with the Intergovernmental Relations Branch to address key issues impacting the Métis Nation. This position requires strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information and formulate effective policy recommendations. You'll build relationships across governments and organizations to bolster the Métis priorities in diverse areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and recommend policies for intergovernmental issues
• Coordinate engagement activities and strategic initiatives
• Prepare legislative submissions and advocacy materials
• Monitor and influence legislative and regulatory affairs
• Foster partnerships with governments and Indigenous organizations
Requirements:
• Degree in public policy or related field
• Experience with government relations and advocacy
• Knowledge of Métis issues and governance
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
