SETTLEMENT WORKER – PART-TIME

Ukrainian Canadian Social Services (UCSS), Edmonton is looking for a Settlement Worker to support Ukrainian newcomers in Edmonton.

Position details

- 6-month contract
- Part-time: 3 days per week, 7 hours per day
- $21/hour

Responsibilities:
- Providing settlement consultations and information about Canadian programs and services
- Assisting with immigration-related applications, including work permits, study permits, visitor visas and other forms
- Helping clients with government advantages and services
- Calling and communicating with government agencies on behalf of or together with clients
- Explaining procedures and next steps to clients
- Maintaining client records and preparing reports/statistics
- Providing interpretation and general settlement support

Requirements:
- Native Ukrainian speaker
- Very strong English, both spoken and written




- Previous experience in settlement services, immigration, social services, administration or a related field
- Strong communication, organizational and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally with confidential information
