Shop Helper

Location: 2214 9th Line, Bradford, ON L3Z 3T1

Time: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm with occasional Saturday shift

Compensation: $20-$25 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shop Helper to support daily operations at our vac truck facility. This role assists with equipment maintenance, shop upkeep, and general labor to keep our trucks and job sites running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and organize the shop, yard, and equipment storage areas
- Assist mechanics and technicians with vac truck repairs and maintenance
- Filter cleaning and filter replacement
- Help load, unload, and organize parts, tools, and supplies
- Wash and detail trucks and equipment as needed
- Assist with minor repairs on vac truck equipment
- Properly dispose of waste, debris, and shop materials per safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment




- Perform routine inventory checks on shop supplies and parts
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds
- Good listening and verbal communication skills
- Able to follow directions and work well in a team environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude a plus
- Must have a good driving record
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Demands:

- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and walking
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a shop/industrial environment
