We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Shop Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy trucks, trailers, and automotive systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting the productivity of our fleet and equipment.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment such as semi trucks, hydraulics, forklifts, and tow trucks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, schematics, and welding techniques to troubleshoot issues and execute repairs efficiently
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate lifting equipment and techniques
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams to identify faults and determine repair procedures
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspection reports
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of towing equipment as needed for repairs or upgrades.




- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies to promote a safe working environment

Requirements

- Proven mechanic experience with dealership or industrial equipment preferred
- Hands-on experience with cars, cranes, forklifts, HVAC systems, or other heavy machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, electrical systems, welding techniques, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, industrial maintenance procedures and heavy lifting protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly
- Valid certifications or experience related to heavy equipment operation or industrial machinery is highly desirable
- Class 1 or Class 3 drivers license is an asset.
