o Limits Underground Ltd. is hiring Skilled Labourers to join our underground utility construction crews.

This is a field-based construction position for individuals with previous construction experience who are comfortable working around heavy equipment, excavations and underground utilities.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s licence and be available and willing to work out of town as required by project schedules.

We are looking for reliable, safety-minded individuals who can work independently, follow direction and contribute to a productive crew.

Responsibilities

- Assist with underground utility and civil construction operations
- Work around excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers and other heavy equipment
- Assist with excavation, trenching, backfill and compaction
- Install and handle conduit, pipe, fittings and utility materials
- Assist with potholing and exposing existing underground utilities
- Use hand tools, power tools and small construction equipment safely
- Assist with measuring, cutting and assembling construction materials
- Spot equipment and assist operators with secure equipment movements
- Assist with rigging, lifting and material handling
- Perform site setup, cleanup and restoration
- Maintain tools, equipment, trucks and work areas
- Assist with traffic control and site protection when required
- Follow company safe work procedures and project-specific requirements
- Perform other field duties as required by the foreman

Requirements
- Previous construction experience required
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Must be available and willing to work out of town
- Experience working around heavy equipment
- Comfortable working in and around excavations




- Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools
- Physically capable of performing demanding field construction work
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather and ground conditions
- Reliable and able to report to work consistently
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew
- Strong commitment to safe work practices

Assets
- Underground utility or civil construction experience
- Water and sewer construction experience
- Telecom or electrical utility construction experience
- HDD or cable plow experience
- Experience with compaction equipment
- Equipment operating experience
- Class 3 driver's licence
- First Aid, Ground Disturbance or other construction safety training

Pay: $18.25-$25.00 per hour
