We work with ambitious brands across hospitality, wellness, real estate, and professional services to create thoughtful, visually compelling marketing experiences.

We are looking for a creative, organized, and trend-aware Social Media & Content Coordinator to support new digital campaigns and content initiatives across our agency and client accounts.

The successful candidate will contribute to social media strategy, develop campaign ideas, and coordinate photo and video shoots from pre-production through final delivery. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life, collaborating with a team, and balancing strong storytelling with measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

- Research social media trends, emerging formats, and audience behaviours
- Contribute ideas for new campaigns, content series, and digital initiatives
- Develop content calendars and social media strategies
- Manage and coordinate photo and video shoots
- Prepare shot lists, schedules, creative briefs, props, locations, and production details
- Coordinate with photographers, videographers, models, clients, and other contributors
- Assist with on-site shoot direction and content capture
- Create, edit, schedule, and publish short-form social media content
- Write engaging captions and supporting campaign copy




- Review content to ensure it aligns with each client’s brand and objectives
- Track campaign performance and recommend opportunities for growth
- Collaborate with JYZ Design’s creative, strategy, and project management teams

Requirements

- Currently studying or recently graduated from marketing, communications, public relations, business, design, film, or a related program
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and current social media trends
- Excellent written communication, storytelling, and organizational skills
- Experience creating or editing short-form video content
- Comfortable managing multiple timelines, details, and contributors
- Confident communicating with clients, vendors, talent, and creative professionals
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Strong attention to visual quality and brand consistency
- Available to attend in-person photo and video shoots in Calgary
- Access to reliable transportation for shoot days is considered an asset

Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, scheduling platforms, or social media analytics tools is considered an asset. A portfolio or examples of social media, content, photography, or video work are encouraged.

Significant InformationThis is a paid, part-time internship running approximately 20 hours per week from Oct 15, 2026 to Feb 28, 2027 with an option to extend until May 20, 2027. Work will include a combination of creative planning, content production, team collaboration, and attendance at on-location shoots in Calgary.

Some flexibility may be required based on shoot schedules, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends. Any scheduling requirements will be communicated in advance.

This position is designed to provide meaningful experience in creative strategy, campaign development, production coordination, brand storytelling, and data-informed digital marketing.
