Make a difference at Extendicare as a Part time Registered Practical Nurse. Provide compassionate care while working collaboratively with a skilled nursing team focused on resident wellness.
This role involves reporting to the Director of Care or Health and Wellness and delivering effective, planned nursing services in accordance with provincial regulations. You will ensure accurate clinical assessments are documented, help implement care plans, and administer treatment safely while addressing resident and family concerns with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the interprofessional care team
• Maintain thorough nursing documentation for resident care
• Evaluate and modify care/service plans as needed
• Coordinate care assignments for timely services
• Provide emergency first aid and manage medical emergencies
Requirements:
• Must be a registered practical nurse in Ontario
• Background in gerontology or senior care preferred
• Superior communication and critical thinking abilities
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office for documentation
