Make a difference at Sandgate Women’s Shelter in Jackson's Point as an Outreach & Counselling Support Worker. Focus on delivering crisis support and developing personalized goal plans for women and children.

This full time position emphasizes a strong commitment to harm reduction and a feminist approach. Engage in community education and crisis intervention while working with diverse populations. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential as you provide critical services across various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop individualized crisis intervention plans
• Conduct community education on violence against women
• Facilitate support groups for women
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
• Liaise with community stakeholders for awareness

Requirements:
• Background in anti-violence work
• Capacity to travel to various locations
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and resources
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Degree or diploma in social work or related fields
