As an Occupational Therapist I, you will work closely with clients and healthcare teams to provide evidence-informed therapy services. Your focus will be occupational performance, ensuring clients achieve optimal functional abilities. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while also engaging with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide triage, screening, and comprehensive assessment services
• Facilitate team-oriented goal setting and treatment planning
• Educate clients and families on self-management and care options
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives with stakeholders
• Supervise therapy assistants and assist in training
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Experience in acute and long-term care settings
• Ability to perform physical therapy tasks including lifting
